Located in downtown Los Angeles, STAPLES Center is a cultural institution as home of the Lakers, Kings, Clippers, and Sparks franchises. The 20,000 seat capacity venue hosts over 250 events annually, with almost 4 million guests visiting. It’s the only venue that is shared by more than one NBA team.
STAPLES Center needed a system that would allow the box office to provide detailed, accurate sold and hold maps for shows already on sale so that promoters could make more informed pricing and marketing decisions. They also needed a price planning tool to make more informed decisions about scaling the house.
TixTrack Pro was the solution they needed, providing intuitive visual sold and hold reporting. TixTrack Pro’s scaling tools allowed STAPLES Center to provide visualizations of potential pricing scenarios to maximize gross ticket revenue.
TixTrack also worked with STAPLES Center’s ticketing provider to set up an API to allow for the data to be updated automatically multiple times per day. The TixTrack Pro deployment saved an incredible amount of time for STAPLES Center and proved to be an invaluable tool for inventory management and revenue optimization.
